Hayfork Volunteer Fire Department is responsible for providing fire protection and medical aid services to the community of Hayfork and surrounding area. The District covers 84 square miles and includes commercial, private residential, agricultural and forest lands.
Hayfork Fire Protection District is headed by a publicly elected Board of Directors and is the governing agency funding the Hayfork Volunteer Fire Department.
Board meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 5:00 PM in the Old Fire Hall located at 7230 State Highway 3. The Old Fire Hall currently serves as the office location for the fire district. A new fire facility located at 195 Hyampom Road, houses the district apparatus.
